DUBLIN MONDAY APRIL 30TH 2018: Leading lights in Irish Business descended on Croke Park last Thursday 19th April for the Fourth Annual All-Ireland Business Summit powered by Audi, where a 1000 strong audience from all 32 counties were captivated by the speakers who revealed their topsecrets, confessions and the do’s and don’ts that have helped them achieve their business success.

The Business All-Stars competition final was one of the key elements of the summit. The Business All-Stars is an annual competition designed to identify, recognise and accredit Irish companies and individuals that have distinguished themselves in the conduct of their business over the last 12 months.

TanOrganic was accredited with the Entrepreneur in Beauty / Trend Innovation All-Star Accreditation. Speaking at the event, Kieran F. Ring, CEO Global Institute of Logistics, Deputy Chairperson Adjudication Panel said;

“The decision to designate TanOrganic with All-Star Accredited Entrepreneur in Beauty / Trend Innovation 2018-19 is based on the score achieved in four rounds of intense competition.

The application, supported by references, interviews and independent ratings from the ‘mystery shopper’ process left the adjudication panel in no doubt that TanOrganic is richly deserving of this accreditation. We would like to extend our sincere congratulations to all concerned and we wish you every success for the future”

In response to the announcement TanOrganic said

“On behalf of TanOrganic I would like to express our sincere thanks for being accredited as Entrepreneur in Beauty/Trend Innovation All-Star. Achieving Buisness All-Stars accreditation is a great source of pride for us and we look forward to continuing to meet and indeed exceed the standards set by the All-Star programme.

The process which led to this accreditation truly stretched us, the structure of the competition required us to put our brand story on paper and gave us the opportunity to reflect on who we are, our growth strategy and above all the value we create for our target audience.

The opportunity to hear first-hand feedback from our Judge-Mentor, our existing customers, partners and suppliers through the reference module combined with the results from the mystery shopper round was invaluable.

We would like to thank all at the competition for making the effort to listen to our story, understand and accredit our business and above all help us to promote it”

The competition finals benefited enormously from the atmosphere created at the All-Ireland Summit which was driven by the three key pillars of knowledge sharing, facilitating new business relationships and the continued improvement of business standards in Ireland, the All-Ireland Summit improves year-on-year – like so many of the great teams to have graced the hallowed turf of Croke Park.

Speaking at the summit, Dr. Briga Hynes, Kemmy Business School, University of Limerick, Chairperson Adjudication Panel summed up the entire process by reminding the enterprises honoured with All-Star that:

“TanOrganic has demonstrated an ability to innovate and has impressive growth plans which nodoubt reflects the resilience and optimism that are the hallmarks of Irish entrepreneurs. TanOrganic bring a real inspiration for what is possible in business in Ireland and provide important role models for the many aspiring entrepreneurs and existing small firms,”

TanOrganic is now included in the 2018-19 All-Stars Role of Honour, the list is published annually to coincide with the All-Ireland Business Summit at Croke Park. Applications for 2018-19’s competition open on 1st June 2018. Find our more on

Founder and Managing Director, Noelle O’Connor, is a glowing advocate for TanOrganic, the world’s first and only Eco-certified organic tan and skincare line, which she developed herself. An ITEC qualified beauty therapist and lecturer, Noelle has been in the beauty industry for over two decades. From humble beginnings, she began her career with a two thousand pound loan from her local credit union in a single cubicle beauty room behind a hair salon in rural Ireland. She single-handedly built her business into Ireland’s first beauty chain, Ealu Spa Therapy, while simultaneously setting up a skincare distribution company, Skin Logic, supplying leading mineral beauty products to Ireland and the UK.

The beauty salon industry suffered badly during the economic recession. Similar to countless other Irish business owners at the time, Noelle faced the difficult decision of closing her salons that she had worked so hard for, or continue to lose money. Choosing to the latter she decided to start from square one again. Noelle went back to education and enrolled in the Boston MIT Entrepreneurial Masters Program. While undertaking her studies, a professor posed a question, asking her “what specific aspect of her career made her most happy?” Her answer was the creating and developing process of new products and methods. This was the turning point for Noelle and beginnings of TanOrganic, the worlds first EcoCertified organic, vegan, and cruelty free self-tan brand.

Through extensive research, Neolle saw a huge gap in the global beauty and skincare market for a 100% natural self-tan, and so she decided to develop her own line of products to compete with the expensive, skin drying, chemical loaded, un-natural tans on the market. The more she researched, the more she wanted to create a tan that was organic and natural, that was good for the skin, rather than toxin and paraben loaded.

Noelle’s vision for TanOrganic was a market leader as the world’s first and only 100% natural and organic self-tanning solution. With a main ingredient being pure organic aloe vera juice, and it also contains vitamins A, C and E, and hyaluronic acid. TanOrganic is formulated to have no-nasty fake tan smell, and is non-transferable onto clothes and sheets, both unique selling points in stark contrast to self-tan competitors.

Launched into the market in 2010, TanOrganic quickly shot into the public eye and gained publicity and awareness by going on Dragons Den Ireland in 2011 where Gavin Duffy invested €50,000 for a 45% share of the company. Today, eight years later, TanOrganic still holds the title for most successful Dragons Den Ireland with €1 Million in sales in the first 3 months of trading.

Today, TanOrganic is continuing to grow at a phenomenal rate with overall sales figures are growing in double digits year on year. The product suite has grown from 1 to 14 individual innovative world-first products with the latest 3 launching onto the market this year. TanOrganic is now a global leading self-tan company with products sold worldwide.
